Advent calendar

1. Organizer

This competition (“Christmas Calendar”) is organized by Scandic Hotels Group AB, together with participating Scandic entities in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Germany.

2. Eligibility

Participation is open to individuals 18 years or older residing in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland or Germany.

Employees of Scandic Hotels, Scandinavian Airlines (SAS), partnered agencies, and their immediate family members are not eligible.

By entering, participants confirm that they meet all eligibility requirements.

3. Competition Period & Entry

The Competition is hosted on Scandic’s official Instagram account @scandichotels.

No purchase is required to participate.

Only entries submitted during the window’s active timeframe will be considered, 2025-12-21 until 2025-12-31.

4. Prize

The winner receives Scandic x SAS – Unforgettable journey which includes:

Round trip flights provided by Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) to the destination defined by Scandic.

Hotel accommodation at a Scandic Hotels property.

Meals and beverages (excluding alcohol).

Activities arranged by Scandic at the destination.

The prize is personal, non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or alternative rewards. Travel dates and arrangements are subject to availability.

5. Winner Selection & Notification

One winner will be selected.

Winners will be selected at random among all eligible entries for each Advent window.

Winners will be contacted via Instagram Direct Message and in the comments.

If a winner does not respond within 72 hours, Scandic reserves the right to appoint an alternate winner.

6. Filming, Photography & Content Usage

By entering the Competition, participants acknowledge and agree that:

They are 18+ years old.

Winners will be filmed and photographed during the prize experience.

Scandic is granted a global, perpetual, royalty-free license to use this content (including images, video, audio, quotes, and likeness) for promotional purposes across all Scandic channels, such as:

Social media

Websites

Digital campaigns

Printed marketing

Internal communications

No additional compensation will be provided for this usage.

7. Personal Data

Scandic processes personal data to administer the Competition, contact winners, and deliver the prize.

Data may be shared with SAS and relevant Scandic entities solely for Competition administration.

All processing is carried out in accordance with the GDPR and local data protection laws.

8. Limitations of Liability

Scandic is not responsible for technical issues, system errors, or interruptions relating to Instagram or third-party services.

Scandic is not liable for changes made by SAS regarding flights, availability, or travel disruptions.

Participants are responsible for required travel documents and personal insurance.

9. Instagram Disclaimer

This Competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram. Participants release Instagram from any responsibility related to the Competition.

11. Prize Value & Taxation

The Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of the prize is 25.000 SEK. Tax implications may vary depending on the winner’s country of residence. Any tax obligations that may arise from accepting the prize are the responsibility of the winner.

12. Travel Availability Requirement

The winner and accompanying traveler must be able to travel during a period defined by Scandic, which will take place in mid-January or during February. By entering the competition, participants confirm that they are able to travel within this timeframe and agree to coordinate travel dates together with Scandic.

Competition Period

The competition runs from 14/12 to 18/12/2025. Entries submitted after this period will not be considered.

How to Enter

Visit our official Instagram page and follow the instructions in the competition post:

Comment on what kind of holiday person you are and follow @scandichotels on Instagram to participate.

Only one entry per person is allowed.

Prize

100 winners will each receive a gift card for 1 night in a standard room for 2 persons, including breakfast.

The gift card is valid at all Scandic Hotels across six countries and can be used within 12 months.

The prize includes accommodation only; travel and other expenses are not included.

The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Winner Selection & Notification

The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries.

The winner will be notified via Instagram Direct Message the next day after the competition ends.

If the winner does not respond within 48 hours, a new winner will be selected.

Use of Personal Data

By entering, participants agree that Scandic Hotels may use their name and entry for promotional purposes related to this competition.

Liability

Scandic Hotels is not responsible for any travel disruptions, additional costs, or circumstances beyond its control.

Comment on which city would you visit first to the post and follow @scandichotels on Instagram to participate.  

Only one entry per person is allowed. 

Prize 

Three winners will receive five hotel nights in five cities: Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Helsinki, and Berlin (one night in each city) for 2 persons.  

The prize includes hotel accommodation with breakfast and travel between the cities. Other expenses are not included.  

The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.  

Winners may choose to visit only 1, 2, 3, or 4 of the cities instead of all five. Total of 5 overnight stays.

Winner Selection & Notification  

The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries.  

The winner will be notified via Instagram Direct Message the next day after the competition ends.  

If the winner does not respond within 7 days, a new winner will be selected.  

Travel Insurance  The winner is responsible for taking out travel insurance.
